This policy explains how aBetterAndroid apps and this website collect, use, and protect information.
Our Android apps do not all use the same services. The disclosures below identify the services used by our current display utilities, including DPI Changer and Resolution Changer.
The Google Play Data safety section for each app describes the data practices of the current published build.
DPI Changer and Resolution Changer transmit limited pseudonymous data to service providers so we can provide subscriptions, understand feature usage, diagnose failures, and improve reliability.
Depending on the feature used, this may include purchase history, app interactions, rewarded-ad activity, other actions performed in the app, crash logs, diagnostics, app performance information, and device or other identifiers generated by our service providers.
The apps do not ask for a name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, messages, or files. DPI Changer does not collect precise or approximate location, and IP-based geolocation is disabled in its analytics configuration.
Preset values, paired-app selections, and device configuration details are primarily stored locally. To keep free change credits consistent after reinstall, each display app derives a one-way hashed, app-scoped identifier from Android's device identifier and uses it as its RevenueCat customer identifier. Analytics events use a restricted schema and do not transmit purchase tokens, receipts, passwords, or the names of paired apps.
Current builds may use the following processors. They receive only the information needed to provide their service and handle it under their own privacy and security terms.
Resolution Changer offers an optional automatic Wireless Debugging setup helper that uses Android's AccessibilityService. The helper is available only after the app presents a separate in-app disclosure and the user affirmatively agrees to open Android Accessibility settings.
During a user-requested setup, the helper can view and interact only with visible Developer options and Wireless debugging screens in Android Settings. This includes Settings text and controls, the temporary six-digit pairing code, and local connection addresses and ports. It uses this information on the device to turn Wireless debugging on, open the pairing screen, tap the required controls, pair the app with Wireless ADB on the same phone, grant display-control permission, and turn Wireless debugging and the helper off when setup finishes.
The pairing code and other Settings screen content are discarded when setup ends. A local Wireless ADB endpoint may remain stored only on the device so the app can reconnect. Nothing read by the helper is sent to aBetterAndroid, shared with third parties, or used for advertising or analytics. Automatic setup is optional, manual setup remains available, and the helper can be disabled at any time in Android Accessibility settings.

DPI Changer and Resolution Changer may offer an optional rewarded ad to a free user who has used their included change credits. Pro users are not shown ads. A verified completed ad grants additional change credits; no credit is granted when verification fails.
Google's consent flow controls whether ads may be requested and, where required, whether they may be personalized. These apps do not request precise or approximate location for advertising. You can revisit available advertising privacy choices from the app's settings.
With your permission, this website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand visits, traffic sources, page engagement, performance, and clicks to app stores or community websites.
Analytics is denied by default until you choose Allow analytics. Advertising storage and ad personalization remain disabled. The website does not intentionally send names, email addresses, form contents, or other directly identifying information to Google Analytics.
You can clear the saved analytics preference in your browser storage to make the choice again.
Sentry may receive crash logs, stack traces, diagnostics, operating-system and app-version information, timing information, and sampled performance profiles needed to diagnose failures and performance problems.
Sentry is configured not to send default personally identifiable information. Screenshots, view hierarchies, and session replay are disabled in the current DPI Changer build.
Google Play processes payment details. aBetterAndroid does not receive complete card or bank-account information.
RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user identifier and purchase or entitlement information so the app can determine whether Pro features are available, restore purchases, and prevent unauthorized access. Purchase tokens and receipts are not recorded in product analytics.
We use service providers to operate app functionality, process subscriptions, measure product usage, monitor reliability, and host this website.
These providers process data on our behalf or as independent platform providers. We do not sell user data and do not use current display-app data for third-party advertising.
Information is retained according to the operational needs and retention settings of the applicable provider. Anonymous identifiers may not be reasonably linkable to a person without information from the user's device or purchase account.
Users can avoid optional purchase-history collection by not purchasing a subscription. Website analytics is denied by default until the visitor chooses to allow it, and that preference can be cleared from browser storage.
Questions about data associated with an app can be sent to public@abetterandroid.com. Include the app name and version, but do not send passwords, payment details, purchase tokens, or receipts.
Data disclosed by current display apps is encrypted in transit. We limit analytics fields, disable unnecessary sensitive attachments, and avoid recording credentials, receipts, or purchase tokens in diagnostics.
No transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We review our providers and app configurations and update this policy when material practices change.
Our display-configuration utilities are general-purpose technical tools and are not designed or marketed specifically for children. We do not knowingly request personal information from children through these apps.
We may update this policy when our apps, providers, or legal obligations change. The effective date below identifies the latest material revision.
